Dave was pissed. Maybe it wasn't fair. He had been hiding shit from his brother too, but now Dirk was apparently the fucking Flash. He knew he brother could move fast. So could he. They'd sparred and trained together for as long as Dave could remember but this was different. Dave should have been able to defend against an attack like that but it happened so absurdly fast he didn't have the chance.
He got to his feet silently while Karkat howled at them, but his eyes were fixed angrily on Dirk. There were a lot of things he wanted to say but here was neither the time nor the place. Especially with fucking Feferi there.
He tried, tried to be amused that his prank on Karkat had worked so beautifully. It should have been funny that he was shouting at the top of his lungs and sorta glowing a little, but Dave was too pissed.
"Shut up, windbag," he hissed when Karkat had finally finished his rant. Dave returned haughtily to his spot on the grass and sat beside Terezi again. He was tempted to leave but he wasn't backing down from this shit show just yet. "You're drawing more attention than the rest of us combined. Plus I didn't move fast, I stopped time. It's.. different. Kinda."
