"You have healing powers. Fuck, that's convenient." The first convenient thing that had happened all day, probably. "And yes, thank you for reminding us all that we are not here for tree climbing and pranks. Why the fuck were you hiding in a tree anyway? Nevermind, don't answer that, I don't want to know. Alright if you want to help with the teaching that's fine by me, as there's probably too many of us for me to instruct alone anyway."
He turned his attention back to the general assembly. "We still need to hash out the details of what actually happened in our various respective dreams, but we've wasted enough time as it is and if a monster attacks tomorrow I would feel much better knowing we had actually begun working on the basics of fighting rather than sitting around babbling about how fucking clueless we all are. Therefore, I will be creating a Super Mighty Rumpus Guild forum on pesterchum, where we will continue to discuss this. Here, one second..." Karkat paused to take off his backpack and dig through it for a pencil and a sheet of paper. "Everyone write down your pesterchum handles. If you don't have a pesterchum, choose a handle and make one after this meeting is over."
He handed the slip of paper and pencil to the person next to him and watched as everyone passed it around, scribbling in terrible handwriting on their palms, for the most part. Once it got back to him, he tucked back into a folder in his backpack and straightened up.
"Okay. Now we are going to begin. If any of you have some knowledge of basic techniques, such has 'how to not punch yourself in the face' and 'how to actually hold a fucking weapon', please find people who don't know shit and group up. Training will mean fuck all if half of you have no idea what's going on and the other half are dying of boredom, so I'll come around and give some individual pointers and exercises to try out. Jane, you do that too. Got it? Move out. Time to get this thing fucking started." Karkat hoped he didn't sound as exhausted as he felt.
