Jane nodded to Karkat and wrote down her chumhandle as it was passed to her, still leaning against Jake until she was positive that she could walk on her own. She was prepared to seek out individuals that might need her assistance, but Dirk was already making a b-line straight for her and Jake. To be frank, in all of the hubbub she had almost forgotten his presence. This would not be pretty.
Her fingertips laced with Jake's as she worked to straighten, swallowing heavily and taking a gathering breath. Her eyes were tired, but observant as ever, far from missing Dirk's quickened pace, the lipmark upon his cheek, and his new friend. Jane wasn't buying the solemn, reserved act; she had seen the girl (Feferi, was it? Ferrari?) back when they were observing from the tree and she'd been on what was only comparable to a sugar high.
The librarian straightened further, gaining confidence now in her ability to stand alone. She didn't let go of Jake's hand as her eyes flicked over the stranger, something intriguing her that she could not quite understand or grasp. "... Are you going to introduce us to your friend?" Jane asked, bypassing Dirk's question.
