Jake: Be Oblivious

Jake was completely and utterly oblivious to the blatant flirting that was going on. Having grown up pretty isolated except for experiencing other cultures, he was relatively socially stupid, especially when it came to the romance front. It had taken Jane weeks to finally get the courage to just tell him to his face that she liked him for him to even see that she'd been dropping hints the entire time. Not to mention, he had no idea when HE flirted, thinking himself just a nice fellow with a quick, flattering wit. He noticed it often drove his girlfriend up a wall, but, try as he might, he just couldn't pin it down to stop it.

So he accepted the flirting openly.

"Nice to meet you, Miss Roxy!" he exclaimed, noting the strong grip and giving her a nice firm handshake. Her hand was considerably larger than most women's that he'd met, but he thought nothing of it, not really being inclined to think that was a strange thing. Just like the fact that she seemed to only be about an inch shorter than him, which he marveled over. Jane was so short in comparison, but he did like it that way. She was his adorable little girlfriend who was constantly teaching him the ways of socially acceptable behavior.

"I do try to be as honest and up front as possible. I see no reason to lie or show off an achievement which I did not accomplish. I have nothing to gain from it, after all," he stated after hearing her bit about telling Jane she had won the prize for Jake to give to her. An even bigger smile broke out on his face hearing that Roxy would love to meet Jane however, leading him to gush about his beautiful lady love. "Oh yes! She's absolutely brilliant and so fine. I'm still quite flabbergasted that she found herself fancying ME of all people," he laughed, grabbing Roxy's wrist and tugging her toward DDR where he figured Jane would be.

"Yes. Let us away to my lady love so I may present her with this fine gift as well as a plush squiddle," he gave her a wink in return, referring to her friendship being the gift he'd be giving Jane.
