Feferi was not fast. Dirk walked next to her, keeping up easily even though she was running. He was grateful for his shades, as he was sure between the two of them their outfits could blind people in the sun. (She'd dressed him in orange basketball shorts, a black tank top and orange high tops. Did she not know he wore other colors? And why was the shirt so tight anyway?)
To be honest, he wasn't really sure what they were doing here, beyond that it had to do something with "super powers" and "heroes". He'd agreed to tag along so he could gather information. (Not that Feferi had given him much choice.) He'd opted against telling Dave where they were going, instead just texting him to say he was out, and he'd be back later.
He scoped out the group of people as they approached. He recognized Kanaya and Sollux, but the others were strangers to him. He kept in stride with Feferi, letting her lead him and do all the talking.
