Hello Everyone
Last Night Those Of Us Who Belong To The Golden Kingdom Were Summoned By The Queen To Hear Some Heavily Mysterious And Rather Alarming News
Previous To This Occurrence Feferi Terezi And I Discussed A Possible Meeting To Better Ourselves By Raising Our Skill Levels With The Hope That Doing So Will Increase The Chances Of A Favorable Outcome When Confronting These Otherworldly Creatures
Whatever Is Transpiring It Is Imperative That We Be Prepared And Personally I Would Be More Disposed To Practice In The Presence Of Prospective Partners
In Addition To Showing Signs Of Potential Powers My Dear Friend Karkat Is Currently Training In The Army And Has Agreed To Instruct Those Of Us Willing To Learn In Self Defense Techniques
I Request That You Do Not Bring Weapons As They Will Be Too Conspicuous In A Public Space But That You Do Bring Comfortable Clothing And If You Have Met Anyone Else That You Believe To Be Involved I Highly Encourage You Usher Them Along As More Perspectives Will Only Serve To Supplement Our Understanding Of The Situation
Karkat And I Would Like To Meet Tomorrow At 4 In Central Park Between The Fountain And The Elderly Flash Dancing Lesson
Please Contact Me Presently If You Will Be Late Or Cannot Attend

Bag packed with her sketchbook, raw meat, and grapes, Kanaya found herself ready for the journey to the park. The walk from her new place was a bit longer than before, so even though she lingered while choosing a workout outfit -- a simple white shirt and roomy ankle-length red skirt -- she overshot the timing and arrived nearly twenty minutes early.
She tucked herself beneath a tree near the upbeat dance class, pulling out her sketchbook. The wispy hair, flabby arms, and neon leotards would serve as good drawing subjects and an easy-to-follow beacon for her fellow superpowered peers to home in on.

She had stuffed various amounts of things into her messenger bag including her white scalemate with the red button eyes. Her best inanimate friend Pyralspite. As well as a box of Gusher fruit snacks and Fruit Roll Ups. Leaving her phone inside her messenger bag; she headed off after grabbing her long cane.
Terezi was slightly early by at least five minutes before four o'clock. Hearing the fun music, it brought a bounce to her step as she approached Kanaya's scent.
"Hey! Nice choice in colors. More specifically the red portion." She gave her a thumbs up and immediately sat down; though blind she didn't hear or smell anyone else near her friend. "So we're the first ones?"
no subject
She checked her phone. No messages. "I imagine the others will join us shortly. Karkat mentioned he encountered you in the city previous to our audience with the queen. I'm glad you awoke in my city as I privately believe it to be the more enjoyable of the two. Perhaps I can show you around some time -- though most things there are golden there are some gardens with a lovely array of colors I imagine would suit your tastes admirably. Although I wouldn't recommend literally eating the flowers for fear of the gardener's retribution." She had once witnessed the gardener scolding young miscreants for their antics. She didn't wish the same for herself or Terezi.

It was only the first day, he told himself. They probably wouldn't even get much done besides debating what their situation actually was. This was not the time to worry. He loudly yelled at himself to suck it up and get it over with. He thought he heard someone in a neighboring room yell at him to shut up.
Digging through his bag, he triple checked that he had his notebook, two water bottles, his medicine ball, and a pack of protein bars. Incredibly, he almost forgot his phone. He wore a pair of gray exercise shorts (that actually fit him) and a plain red Nike T-shirt, along with his worn-down black sneakers. Ready to lead a group of crazy young adults into battle with ancient magical monsters.
When he arrived at the park, he scanned around until he found where Kanaya was sitting with Terezi. Damn it, he had been hoping to just talk to Kanaya before anyone else that he didn't really know was there. With quick, business like strides, he made his way over to them. Since he had only ever met Terezi in dreams, it was incredibly fucking weird to see her in person.
"It's incredibly fucking weird to see you in person," he said to Terezi. Then he nodded to Kanaya. "Looks like I'm on time after all." He checked his watch. "Two minutes for everyone else to arrive before they're all fucking late. Of course. Why should we be punctual when preparing ourselves to become monster-fighting deities?" Not that Karkat had really been any earlier. "Oh, who cares. Hello Terezi, I am Karkat if you don't remember, and I will be the leader of this monster-fighting league, or whatever the hell we're calling it."

It had been a rather eventful day for one Miss Jane Crocker. She and Jake had been practicing their powers nonstop ever since they'd decided to join Kanaya and her friends, and they were both pretty damn excited to show them off. They stopped at a restaurant nearby the park to grab an early dinner before heading over, a bit fashionably late, but nearly glowing from the excitement of it all. Jane was nearly exuding life, and Jake practically shined with his hopes for the evening's events. She looked up to him warmly as they entered the park and passed the dancing elderly people, smile soft and eyes dancing with green. "... Are you ready for this, J?" she murmured.

He gave her a thumbs up as they began to approach what appeared to be the group, glancing between her and them as he lets out a breath. "As ready as you can be to meet a bunch of people with superpowers."

Jane Pay Attention You're 15 Feet In The Air
OPERATION: DON'T GLOW IN THE TREE (FAILING FAILING)
Kiss, Kiss, Fall... Out of A Tree
IT'S GETTING STARTED IN HERE.
"I've never seen the vast majority of you in my fucking life outside of dreamland, so I am Karkat Vantas, for those of you who don't know. I'm the leader of this organization that Terezi here has dubbed the Super Mighty Rumpus Guild. Also I guess she is the co-leader." He shot her an annoyed glance, before turning back to the group. "None of us know what the fuck is going on, but it seems like we're going to have to fight monsters, so I'm not about to go in unprepared. That is the point of this shit; come up with a game plan so we don't all become fucking monster chow. First order of business is to try and figure out what the hell is going on, as much as possible. Then we need to talk strategy, and then hopefully I can help with some of your fighting skills. Now I hope you've all been to Kindergarten, because it's fucking circle time. And we're starting with show and tell, so get ready to talk powers. But WITHOUT any fucking showing because we do not need a million fucking people to see a bunch of idiots flying and turning invisible and shit. Introduce yourself when you go. Once we get that out of the way, we will all try and decipher what the fuck these dream people have been talking about. Now hurry the fuck up and get in a circle."
Karkat waited impatiently as people stirred and moved around, murmuring among themselves and getting into a vaguely ovular shape. At least they would all be able to see each other. Finally, Karkat could get a good look at everyone. Definitely a mix of people, ranging from athletically built to wheelchair bound.
"I'll go first. You already know who I am. My powers are fucking useless, but apparently my blood glows sometimes, whatever the fuck that means. Next?"
Lets Get It Started (Yeah)
Lets Get It Started (In )(ere)
She sighed lustily and put her hands on her hips, gazing jealously at Kanaya. "Nofin as COOL as being a vampire," Fef complained before grinning and looking up at Dirk expectantly.

stalkingTRACKING several of hertargetsAQUAINTANCES as per the usual, and found out that they were all converging in the park today. And she was bound and determined to find out why no one invited her.She slinked up to the playground, careful to remain out of view, having spotted Kanaya in bright red from afar. Several kids played on the various play equipment, their laughter echoing merrily. It made her sick. Didn’t they know there were important matters of espionage at hand? There was no time for fun and games. Something was going on here. Something that looked really, really interesting. And she wasn’t in on it. That just would not do.
Vriska fought her way to the highest point of the boat-shaped jungle gym, children screaming as they tumbled to their mulch-cushioned defeat. Once perched comfortably in the crow’s nest she put her glasses on top of her head like a headband and retrieved her trusty binoculars from a small backpack she’d been carrying. She also took out a small notepad and pen, jotting in messy scrawl at the top of the next blank page, “Park Meeting Observation.”
Without her glasses the world was anything but observable. However, the binoculars, when adjusted correctly, provided perfect vision for miles. She quickly honed in on the group across the park, and set to work recording who was there, who they arrived with, who they spoke to, and any specific looking detail she could manage to scribble down.
Perhaps this has something to do with that dream… Vriska wondered. That had to be impossible though. That was just a dream. Right? She scratched her farfetched hypothesis in the margins anyways.
So far it seemed pretty boring. Several familiar faces lined the crowd, but not everyone here had been on Prospit. Terezi is here too… She considered joining them, but spotting Sollux and Tavros together made her reconsider. Now was not a good time. She couldn’t risk Terezi finding out about…
Holy shit! Was the whole town going to show up? What did all of these people have in common?
Vriska watched eagerly with antici—A screaming kid interrupted her to whine about her hogging the boat.
“Fuck off kid, I was here first,” Now, where was i? --pation.
Something very interesting was unfolding. There was a connection here. And Vriska was just about to figure it out when--
“HEY! WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY KID? I’M CALLIN THE COPS!”
Shit. Time to go.
Mama Bear Dirk can't leave you kids alone for a second - (Jake, Jane, Feferi)
He stuck around just long enough to write down his pesterchum for Karkat (and honestly, that was one message he'd actually be happy to let Hal answer for him), before walking (as casually as he could appear) over to Jake and Jane.
"What the fuck you two?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "I leave you alone for five minutes and you nearly break Jake's arm? Why the hell were you hiding in a tree, anyway?"
Nosy as ever, Feferi follows
Neither of them looked familiar to her though she had caught their introductions. Flashy yellow light power guy was Jake, but Feferi mostly only had eyes for Jane. Jane Crocker. Oblivious as she was to the Betty Crocker backstory, the name still set off alarm bells. Not unheard of for someone to have the name, but anyone affiliated with the organization seemed like she should be aware of them, but Jane Crocker was a stranger.
For once, she kept her comments and questions to herself for now. She trailed after Dirk but kept a little behind him; her hands clasped behind her back as she eyed the two strangers solemnly from behind her pink rimmed glasses. Feferi, for once, also managed a creditable poker face as she studied Jane.

Were Doing This | Closed to Rose
She strode towards Rose with more purpose than she felt. All the agonizing she'd done over how to reconnect with Rose had gone out the window the moment she saw her. But, honestly, she'd delayed this conversation long enough. Rose deserved at least an apology.
Despite her best efforts at materializing a suitable opening other than "Oh hey it's been about three months since we last talked fancy encountering you at a meeting for the supernaturally gifted." on her way over, all that came out of her mouth when she met Rose's eyes was: "Um."
Re: Were Doing This | Closed to Rose
She glanced over the crowd, looking for anyone else obviously bereft of a group. She was decidedly not looking for Kanaya. She could take a hint, and three ignored messages over the space of a week or two certainly seemed less than subtle. Besides, all of that had happened months ago. Rose was over it, she was capable of acting like an adult about the situation, and she was over Kanaya. Or at least, she believed she was until she noticed Kanaya coming towards her with a frighteningly determined look on her face.
Rose tried to wait for her to say something more, until she couldn't stand the silence any longer.
"I didn't realize that you would be here." Rose winced inwardly as she blurted out the first thing that popped into her head.

IN THE GREEN CORNER...
Either way, he got into his boxing stance pretty quickly after that, clearing his throat and giving her a nod as he tries to think of...really what to do or say next.
"So uh...guess we should establish some rules then? Nothing serious, hold back the punches? And don't worry. Not hitting your face even a little. There's a serious fine for destroying priceless art after all." He tosses out a wink and sticks out his tongue, a little more comfortable with it being just her and him now. Sure, anyone could pop over for an observation and he knew Karkat was on the prowl...but at least it was just him and Jane for the moment.
IN THE BLUE CORNER...
Regardless, as they broke off from the group Jane tried to clear her mind, managing a bit of a weak chuckle at Jake's flirtatious tease. A few hours before, she would have blushed and likely teased him right back. But now his sweet words felt... Cheapened, somehow. She knew that she shouldn't feel that way, and that such thoughts were silly. But that was how she felt, nonetheless. Not to mention all flirting would be put on hold until she got a better read on the Dirk and Jake situation. Her heart clenched a bit, and she cursed herself for it.
Her father had been rather fond of boxing himself, having been a GOOD AND PROPER GENTLEMAN OF HIS TIME, and had taught her more than a few moves. She was a bit more comfortable with Tae Kwon Do, but the stance she fell into felt natural and familiar. A soft smile rose to her face as she nodded along with Jake's ground rules. Damn if she didn't miss her dad.
"Perfect." she said simply, giving a little nod as she kept to her toes, hands raising in a defensive stance. "You first."

Sollux is panicking, open
Shit. Shit. Shit.
He was legitimately going to die. But first he was going to be kidnapped by Betty Crocker and forced into eternal servitude, just like his brother. They'd probably do all kinds of experiments and invasive exploratory surgeries on him - things that had haunted his more paranoid waking hours and definitely his dreams. He'd thought he was helping a prospective new superhero, not signing his death certificate.
He had to move. He had to burn all ties, cut all bridges. Was he mixing up metaphors? No time to worry about that. Sollux knew he could delay them finding him, but he couldn't ever truly escape.
Then he felt something move on his knee, and his world expanded from the tunnel vision his rapid breathing was putting him in as he took his first deep breath in over two minutes. He saw the Professor, and realized Tavros was beside him.
"Tavros," he said, reaching out and threading his fingers through the other man's desperately. "Tavros, we have to run away. Right now. Get out of here. Forever. It's only a matter of time now before they come for us."
Sollux was completely unaware of how much like a crazy person he sounded in that moment, fully focused on his own panic.
Re: Sollux is panicking, open
“Who is coming for us, Sol?” He murmured, fingers flexing gently where they held Sollux’s hand, and the thumb of his other hand stroked against his cheek.
Tav knew that belittling Sol’s panic, or anyone’s feelings for that matter, was never a good start to calming someone down. It was often better to get them talk about the source of their fear, and then work to assuring them that they were perfectly safe. Tavros had all of this in mind, so even without his superpower jumping into effect, he would have done alright calming Sol, but his force-calming was there and growing more obvious by the second.
His entire body was radiating calm, enough so that people within a five foot range of him would feel it as well. The effects were similar to being hugged by someone you loved. A soothing warmth, relaxing calm. Tav was focusing most of his power on forcing Sollux to relax, but it was still enough for others to feel.
“Focus on me, okay? You’re safe. You can talk about this, if you want. But I swear everything will be okay. If you need, we can leave. I promise things are okay, though, Sol. I won’t let anyone hurt you.”

P1CKS TH3 COOL K1D | Open
Pulling him only a couple feet away from the circle so the two would have more room and enough space for others to join them on training. She let him go and pumped her fists back and forth in the air. "I've been waiting for round two on this club and now we're getting serious. Since you're a hero, Dave, what do you know about fighting?" She questioned, her expression was less enthusiastic and more thoughtful. Terezi tilted her head to the side only slightly. "I've used a weapon so far and kicked my way to victory."
Re: P1CKS TH3 COOL K1D | Open
The book was handed to him and he'd barely got his pesterchum handle written down and passed it along when he was being dragged away by Terezi. She seemed to be incredibly excited over all of this, whereas his excitement over the whole super power shtick was dampened by everything else running through his head. Still, her smile was infectious.
"Sure, I can do partners," he said, keeping his tone neutral rather than letting out the boiling anger in his get. Her words irked him, though. Hero? He was no hero. Just some asshole with time shit. And apparently they already had one of those, with what Aradia had said. He'd have to corner her about that at some point. As for fighting...
"I know my way around a fight," he told her, downplaying what he really knew of fighting. He'd been trained by a violent psychopath since he was a year old to be ready for anything. To say he knew how to fight was an understatement. "Not exactly a good teacher, though."

ON THE PROWL. | OPEN
He dug into his backpack and extracted a sheet of notes that he had written for himself the night before. They mostly highlighted some important fighting techniques that he thought might be useful. Since the vast majority of his training focused on fighting other humans, not monsters for fuck's sake, he had needed to make an unfortunate number of google searches in the process.
As he looked around at the group, he decided he might as well start yelling something to begin working on.
"OKAY EVERYBODY. First important thing is fighting stance. People who know shit, start working with other people on that. Then I'll come around and help correct you. Also before we get too far into this, I want to make something clear. You may have the most flawless plan ever fucking conceived, but inevitably something will fuck it up. So the most important thing in battle is to be vigilant and PREPARED. Now go work on stance."
Maybe Karkat would try sneaking up on people at some point to test that. Vigilance had saved his ass multiple times. And he was pretty damn good at not letting anyone get the drop on him, if he did say so himself.
Re: ON THE PROWL. | OPEN
She perked up at the sentence 'be vigilant and prepared', her shark-like grin flashing across her face. Fef had been off to one side when he started shouting, and now he had turned away from her to yell at the larger knot of people. Fef shed her backpack swiftly and advanced.
Suppressing snickers, the bright pink hunter ghosted across the grass, using time-honed skills of sneaking out past security and back in past alert guards to keep out of his line of sight. She might not be the fastest, but if she had a goal she would get to it come hell or high water.
Feferi grinned wider as she got within ten feet of him and broke into a sprint. She planted her foot and launched herself at his back like a torpedo, intending to slam into his back and knock him on his face.

Its me, I'm the mountain. [Open to anyone]
He finally got a clue on what the bunch of them were doing there, what he thought was a mere "What the heck is going on" quickly turned onto little cliques of people getting ready to pump iron. Equius couldn't help but chuckle, looking at nothing and no one making it seem like he was laughing at the nearest person available, at the thought of these scrawny looking people hoping to get strong or smart enough to fight off the imminent threat. Getting the strength and ability to fight was something that took months and years and not a simple afternoon in the park. But he had agreed to help his friend so he just might do that, even if it meant guiding the hips of these young people. And he literally means guide, he will manhandle anyone until he thinks they are in something near the position he is teaching them.
Steps make the whole of his toned, and somewhat sweaty, muscles jiggle as he moves to where the middle of the circle had been and stands there; His head a black lightbulb in the sea of heads as he looks around for people interested in his teachings before his voice storms out of his mouth, though his tone is more similar to a private conversation than the worldwide scream of the presumed leader "Good evening everyone, to whomever it may concern I have some years of combat experience, you don't grow up where I did without being taught some, so I may instruct those who require it. My pleasure to help". This last bit had something of a moany tone to it, like something that had been roaming the back of his head while he spoke and decided to follow along the words he did want to get out, but he seemed to not realize this. He flexes.
Boom goes the dynamite
Fuming as she stomped around, the spectacle of a flexing Equius caught her interest. Admittedly she had smashed HIS face on their previous meeting as well, but that had been... Hm, perhaps she had a power for breaking faces unintentionally. Nevertheless he remained a towering muscular skyscraper of a man who looked like he could take her punches and keep on ticking. Besides, standing he had almost a foot and a half of height on her. The odds of getting anywhere near his face seemed distant enough to be ignored.
With a smile like a dark stormcloud building up over a calm ocean, Feferi headed straight for the behemoth and craned her neck to look up at him. She propped her hands on her pink spandex clad hips and pursed her lips. "What sort of combat training do you possess?" she inquired, hoping that it was more than fisticuffs or taebo.
Feferi shrugged out of her backpack's straps, dropping it on the ground and pulling off the loose pink shirt she had worn over her black sports bra. If Equius lived up to the promise of his muscles she would have to get serious to avoid being the next person to be on the ground bleeding. She shoved her shirt into her bag carelessly and threw both of them several feet away before grinning challengingly up at Equius as she bounced on the balls of her feet in her bright pink shoes while she made sure her braid was tight and would keep her hair out of her eyes. "How long do you fin it whale take me to knock you on your tail?" she taunted.
