Hello Everyone
Last Night Those Of Us Who Belong To The Golden Kingdom Were Summoned By The Queen To Hear Some Heavily Mysterious And Rather Alarming News
Previous To This Occurrence Feferi Terezi And I Discussed A Possible Meeting To Better Ourselves By Raising Our Skill Levels With The Hope That Doing So Will Increase The Chances Of A Favorable Outcome When Confronting These Otherworldly Creatures
Whatever Is Transpiring It Is Imperative That We Be Prepared And Personally I Would Be More Disposed To Practice In The Presence Of Prospective Partners
In Addition To Showing Signs Of Potential Powers My Dear Friend Karkat Is Currently Training In The Army And Has Agreed To Instruct Those Of Us Willing To Learn In Self Defense Techniques
I Request That You Do Not Bring Weapons As They Will Be Too Conspicuous In A Public Space But That You Do Bring Comfortable Clothing And If You Have Met Anyone Else That You Believe To Be Involved I Highly Encourage You Usher Them Along As More Perspectives Will Only Serve To Supplement Our Understanding Of The Situation
Karkat And I Would Like To Meet Tomorrow At 4 In Central Park Between The Fountain And The Elderly Flash Dancing Lesson
Please Contact Me Presently If You Will Be Late Or Cannot Attend

Bag packed with her sketchbook, raw meat, and grapes, Kanaya found herself ready for the journey to the park. The walk from her new place was a bit longer than before, so even though she lingered while choosing a workout outfit -- a simple white shirt and roomy ankle-length red skirt -- she overshot the timing and arrived nearly twenty minutes early.
She tucked herself beneath a tree near the upbeat dance class, pulling out her sketchbook. The wispy hair, flabby arms, and neon leotards would serve as good drawing subjects and an easy-to-follow beacon for her fellow superpowered peers to home in on.

Re: Feferi Dirk Sollux
He couldn't believe he'd forgotten about his (FAKE) sister for a couple weeks there.
"She's good," he said, voice a little high pitched. He coughed. "So, you're here because of the dreams right?
"Hey, neither of you dream on both, right? Because that's been happening with me and I'm really not sure what finding my corresponding dark side half is supposed to mean when I dream in both places."
That question had been driving him nuts since the dream, but he really hadn't gotten a chance to ask anyone. Most of the rest of the gibberish the Queen had spouted had floated out of his head, but that stuck with him.
Although maybe asking two people he hadn't even seen there wasn't the most solid of game plans.
Re: Feferi Dirk Sollux
He spaced out for a moment and almost didn't notice Sollux asking them a question.
"Sorry, dude, I'm only here because Feferi didn't give me a choice." He lied, shrugging his shoulders. He filed away the information Sollux provided, about having two "dream selves" and needing to find his "dark side", but didn't offer up any of his own knowledge.
Re: Feferi Dirk Sollux
"Kanaya invited me!! She didn't say anyfin about 'corresponding dark side halves'!!" Feferi said sweetly, her attention closing around Sollux like the teeth of an anglerfish.
Fef took a step forward and seized Sollux's hands before the other could escape, grinning up at the gangler. "I'd LOVE to hear more about it though!!!" she chirped, her eyes practically sparkling at him.
Re: Feferi Dirk Sollux
"Well, basically we went to this room with the Queen, and she said some stuff that made it sound like we were reincarnated. And also deities," Sollux said, wracking his brain. As he pressed himself more and more information was tumbling in, like trying to remember - well, a dream. "And then the thing about your other half was like... that they were sleeping in the dark? And they're our ally and we gotta achieve harmony or whatever bullshit."
He shrugged. "There was something in there too about a werewolf, but that was probably talking about the V-day furries. A lot of what she said was absolute gibberish, but that's the gist I got."
Re: Feferi Dirk Sollux
"Ahh yeah. You had eyebeams when those wolves attacked us, right?" she asked, grinning up at him as she swung their hands back and forth cheerfully. "That's glubbing neat!! Do you have any other powers??" Her eyes were wide and guileless, clearly just a fan of superpowers and brim full of innocent interest.
Re: Feferi Dirk Sollux
"Um, yeah," he said, wanting to escape this conversation but not sure how. He wasn't quite to the point of literally running away, but if she didn't stop smiling at him with that look in her eyes he might be.
After glancing around to make sure none of the sweaty seniors were glancing in their direction, he focused as hard as he could. He was torn between wanting to do something subtle and showing off, and he settled on showing off.
So he carefully captured Feferi's glasses in a haze of blue and red static and floated them over to Dirk's face, taking off his shades and then pushing Feferi's glasses on. They were a little lopsided, and when he tried to tuck Dirk's sunglasses into his shirt they pulled his shirt halfway down his chest and then back up when Sollux hastily released them.
The entire exchange had lasted under a second, but it had felt like hours what with the exhausting level of concentration it had involved.
"You have pretty eyes," he blurted out, having glanced at the way Feferi's pink glasses sat on Dirk's face.
(Sideways and barely on. That was how they sat.)
Jesus Christ.
Re: Feferi Dirk Sollux
He noticed as soon as Sollux started to use his powers. He scowled as the sparks somehow removed his shades and replaced them with Feferi's glasses. They were barely settled on his face before he tugged them off and handed them to Feferi, before quickly shoving his own shades back on.
"Neat trick." He commented.
Re: Feferi Dirk Sollux
She grinned, oblivious to the fact that Sollux had just revealed his powers to the daughter of the woman he feared most as a person who would capture and harvest them from him. Feferi regretted not having the opportunity currently to get a better view of Dirk's also-odd-colored eyes, but interrogating Sollux remained her primary objective.
"So you dream of two places but you only saw the white queen?" she asked.
Re: Feferi Dirk Sollux
He paused. "Okay, there's probably only one me. I only have the ability to dream in one place at once."
He realized that he hadn't heard anything about their - well Feferi's, Dirk said he was just dragged here - powers or dreams.
"What about you, Feferi? I know you can waterbend. Can you like... talk to fish or breathe underwater too? Can you do bloodbending?" Sollux twitched a little nervously. "Please don't demonstrate on me if you can."
Re: Feferi Dirk Sollux
He'd already seen her water manipulation so no harm in admitting to that. "Otherwise just some hydrokinesis!! It's not very strong," she said with a sigh, pouting a little. "AND I have to have water. Nothing like YOUR telekinesis!!" Feferi giggled as she tried to figure out what else she could grill him about. The information about the queen and his dual selves would definitely require looking into further, but he seemed pretty tapped out.
She released his hands at last and exhaled in a rush, propping her hands on her hips and gazing out over the rag tag group. "Water we supposed to be doing today anyway?"
Re: Feferi Dirk Sollux
"I thought you got Kanaya's email?" Sollux asked, a little confused. "We're supposed to be practicing self defense though -"
He glanced at the way most of the group was just standing around uselessly, talking or staring off into space/at their phones.
"- I don't know how much we'll actually get done beyond a meet and greet."
Re: Feferi Dirk Sollux
"Hmm," she said, eyeing him. "Do you need sunscreen?? I wouldn't want to send you home to Torple all sunburned!!! I have LOTS of sunscreen!!!!" Feferi grinned and began digging in her bag industriously.
Re: Feferi Dirk Sollux
He ran before he was slathered as thickly in the white viscous substance as Dirk was. Unlike Dirk, it would not blend into his skin tone. And he really didn't want a good natured Feferi rubbing it into his stomach and legs (the only really exposed parts of his body).
Sol headed towards Tavros, thankful to escape to someone soothing.

He continued to watch the others talking, but when Sol dropped down to the grass beside him, he outstretched his arm where his pigeon was currently perched. Without saying anything, Tav had given the Professor a command and the small creature gave a half flap of his clipped wings, landing on Sollux’s knee. Just as Tavros had wanted him to.
With his generalized comfort and heightened confidence (although in comparison, Tav’s confidence was still lower than the average person), Tavros decided to speak up instead of just passively paying attention.
“So, uhh, are we going to be meeting more often? I’m not sure what I really, uh, do as far as being a superhero. Sollux thinks I am, uh, but I’m not exactly going to fly anywhere.” His cheeks held a tint of red, since he knew it was obvious that he couldn’t do much, but he had an honest curiosity of what the Prospit group was going to be doing in the real world. Even more than that though, he wanted to be on Prospit again, since the feeling of walking and flying was so real while he was dreaming.

She waved at Jade in greeting when she arrived, and glanced around to see who they were still missing. Jane and her friend hadn't arrived yet. Neither had Eridan or Nepeta.
She considered Tavros' words when he finally spoke up. "I would certainly appreciate continued meetings as the queen implicated we'd need to improve our teamwork to succeed in whatever endeavor has been tasked to us. It seems practical to maintain a sort of 'support group', in any case. I don't think your self-doubt has any solid foundation, however -- your powers can be easily utilized to protect people. You should believe in what your abilities can make possible."

“I.. uh, thank you.” He murmured, glancing away and down at Sollux and the Professor, feeling his cheeks turn from pink to a deeper red as he thought to himself in order to feel at ease again.
”Breath, Tavros. You can handle this. You’re a superhero. Just like the rest of them. You calm Sollux down. You can do that with them too. Protect people. You’re okay.”
He turned his gaze back to Kanaya and gave her the slightest smile. “I’ve been able to work with birds, uh, and I calm people down. I guess that’s protection, in a way?”

“So red shirt has a name,” he responded blandly, looking over the angry-looking man. “Karkat, though. What kind of name is that? Why does everyone around here have such fuckin’ weird names? Karkat, Terezi, Nepeta? Are we living in the Twilight Zone and this is just the norm?”
“As for Smurg that’s… unique. Very you, though. I like it.” The bag he’s brought with him was exclusively packed with bottles of AJ, and he pulled one out to drink it. “So we’re all vigilantes now? I just came for the fresh air.”
Dirk and Feferi were whispering together and Dave’s eyes narrowed behind his shades. What were they plotting now?
He just about jumped out of his skin when he heard Jade’s voice. He probably should have been expecting her here. If these powers had anything to do with the meteor, she’d had the most exposure to it with her poking around at it at the university. “Jade! Uh. Hey,” he attempted to play it cool and not like he was excited to see her. Shifting over in his spot on the grass, he gestured to the ground beside him. “You wanna join in this Rumpus Guild or whatever the fuck?"
He glanced to Kanaya when she spoke and gave her a little half smile. “Nice to meet you… Kanaya, right?” he responded when the probably most elegant of the group introduced herself. He was sure he’d overheard her name. “Yeah, I was on Derse. Everything’s obnoxiously purple and the Queen’s a bitch. That’s really all there is to say on the matter."

The sight of a pair of glasses floating through the air caught his eye, and he narrowed his eyes at the group responsible. That girl-- Feferi-- had been whispering sketchily to Dirk and Sollux, and it was impossible to tell which of them had done the telekinesis. Well, if anyone wanted to actually plan and work together, they would all have to share their powers sooner or later anyway.
When that other blonde guy (Dave, Karkat was pretty sure) addressed him, Karkat turned to look at him. And immediately was met with an insult to his name of all things. "Wow, sorry for my parents not being fucking white. Also yes, SMRG is fucking perfect for this clusterfuck of a situation. But it is NOT 'Smurg', it is the Super Mighty Rumpus Guild. We are not some fucking slime pokemon. And we are also not fucking vigilantes." Karkat gave Terezi a pointed look. "We're just a bunch of assholes who developed radioactive powers and are being required by a couple of weird, faceless queens to fight monsters together with no experience whatsoever. The point of all this is to try and extract some fucking minuscule thread of rationality from this frothing pit of hell-vomit.
"Getting this many people to work together is going to be a fucking chore. Terezi, I know you instated yourself as co-leader, but I am having trouble envisioning a single scenario in which you will not merely add to the avalanche of shit and chaos. So can I at least get everyone's attention when the time comes? In fact if we want to get any shit done it should start before everyone starts blasting their powers around without any fucking rhyme or reason."
Karkat scanned the crowd. There were a good few people there, so it was probably about time to get started on planning this shit out. Karkat stood up to prepare to get everyone's attention.

She spotted Dirk and made a beeline for him. She didn't have time to scan the crowd for familiar faces.
"Thank you for informing me that this was happening, Dirk," she said quietly, not wanting to interrupt whatever was about to happen.

Though her conversation with Eridan nearly -- no, exactly -- two months ago had prompted her to speak to Rose again after their disastrous first date, soon after she'd become entrapped in the whirlwind world of super powers and gods. Not to say she hadn't thought about contacting Rose, but every time she steeled herself to do so she discovered it was much easier to just continue avoiding it.
But now Rose was here. If there was a time she should face this, she supposed it should be now. Or, at least, today, she thought as Karkat began. After the more formal portion of this meeting. Suddenly conscious of how long she'd been staring, she turned her head. She didn't know whether or not she wanted Rose to have noticed.
