Bag packed with her sketchbook, raw meat, and grapes, Kanaya found herself ready for the journey to the park. The walk from her new place was a bit longer than before, so even though she lingered while choosing a workout outfit -- a simple white shirt and roomy ankle-length red skirt -- she overshot the timing and arrived nearly twenty minutes early.

She tucked herself beneath a tree near the upbeat dance class, pulling out her sketchbook. The wispy hair, flabby arms, and neon leotards would serve as good drawing subjects and an easy-to-follow beacon for her fellow superpowered peers to home in on.

"No, I can wait for you." Jane said, smile genuine. "Keep your phone on; I'll text you if I get tired of waiting." She smirked a bit and gave him a one-armed hug. "... Thanks." She said as she did so, giving a little clearing of her throat. She appreciated him trying to cheer her up, even if she wasn't ready to admit that she'd needed cheering to begin with.

Jake smiled back to her and gave a nod...though when she gave him a one armed hug, he scoffed and enveloped her in a big two armed one. He could still feel that slight loss of hope in her...and he debated imparting some of his own. But the cushion from before had taken some out of him already and he didn't want to over do it. So he just spoke as he hugged her. "...never give up hoping, alright Janey? Not a single time. Not while I'm around."

With that, he pulls back and gives a thumbs up, off to go meet and greet with any and all of the new superfriends he was apparently making today.

Jane hugged him tight as he held her, eyes clenching. She breathed in deeply, allowing herself a moment to be fully and completely unguarded. But the contact ended to soon, and she nodded, sighing as she watched him walk away. She gave a little wave to his retreating back. ".... Easier said than done." She grumbled, before heading back towards the parking lot.
