Hello Everyone
Last Night Those Of Us Who Belong To The Golden Kingdom Were Summoned By The Queen To Hear Some Heavily Mysterious And Rather Alarming News
Previous To This Occurrence Feferi Terezi And I Discussed A Possible Meeting To Better Ourselves By Raising Our Skill Levels With The Hope That Doing So Will Increase The Chances Of A Favorable Outcome When Confronting These Otherworldly Creatures
Whatever Is Transpiring It Is Imperative That We Be Prepared And Personally I Would Be More Disposed To Practice In The Presence Of Prospective Partners
In Addition To Showing Signs Of Potential Powers My Dear Friend Karkat Is Currently Training In The Army And Has Agreed To Instruct Those Of Us Willing To Learn In Self Defense Techniques
I Request That You Do Not Bring Weapons As They Will Be Too Conspicuous In A Public Space But That You Do Bring Comfortable Clothing And If You Have Met Anyone Else That You Believe To Be Involved I Highly Encourage You Usher Them Along As More Perspectives Will Only Serve To Supplement Our Understanding Of The Situation
Karkat And I Would Like To Meet Tomorrow At 4 In Central Park Between The Fountain And The Elderly Flash Dancing Lesson
Please Contact Me Presently If You Will Be Late Or Cannot Attend

Bag packed with her sketchbook, raw meat, and grapes, Kanaya found herself ready for the journey to the park. The walk from her new place was a bit longer than before, so even though she lingered while choosing a workout outfit -- a simple white shirt and roomy ankle-length red skirt -- she overshot the timing and arrived nearly twenty minutes early.
She tucked herself beneath a tree near the upbeat dance class, pulling out her sketchbook. The wispy hair, flabby arms, and neon leotards would serve as good drawing subjects and an easy-to-follow beacon for her fellow superpowered peers to home in on.

Re: ON THE PROWL. | OPEN
"I- f- wh-" Karkat tried to get enough air to form a coherent sentence but the fact that she was still fucking on top of him was not helping. When finally he had managed to suck in enough oxygen, he chocked out a long "WHAT THE FUUUUUCK."
Okay, maybe there was something to be said for heeding his own advice, but he wasn't expecting to need to be on alert okay? Besides he never even said he was that great at fucking fighting, this was supposed to be a favor for Kanaya. First all of that other shit and now this. Karkat did not deserve this. They were supposed to be pulling shit on each other not him. Somehow he had ended up the target of just about every fucking thing this day.
Back to the problem at hand, he didn't know anything about this woman's fighting skills other than that she was apparently competent enough to sneak up on him. Whatever, he should probably start making himself look like less of a complete buffoon at some point this afternoon.
He seized her shoulders and attempted to use his superior height to overpower her and flip her off of him, hoping to pin her down and maybe get his dignity levels out of the negatives for once in his fucking life.
Just clown fishing around!
He seemed to have caught his breath at last and came up fighting. She regretted her hair escaping the braids but no time to do anything about that now.
He had reach and height on her but she was a swimmer and the daughter of a terrifying woman who believed in raising her children with military discipline. The discipline hadn't stuck but you can't train for most of your life without picking things up.
Fef went with his rough pull, turning the flip into a roll and getting another rotation in and some distance when he would have pinned her down. Mid roll she decided to keep her cards hidden for now and scrambled ungracefully to her feet without bothering to add the usual head flip that kept her hair out of the way.
Fef was grass stained and staggered as though she was dizzy. Fumbling with her hair like she couldn't see as she laughed and turned her back on him, shaking her finger as if she thought she was still facing him as she pawed at her tangle of hair with her other hand. "Wow!! Maybe I'm the one at school," she teased, giggling but listening hard in case he decided to return the surprise tackle so she could go down like the novice she was pretending to be.
Re: Just clown fishing around!
FUCK THIS. He did not have time to be goofing around and play fighting. This was supposed to be fucking serious, was anyone else in this entire group even trying to get shit done? Karkat needed a whistle. Preferably one loud and high-pitched enough to cause pain. What a bunch of assholes. Kanaya owed him one. No, no, he shouldn't be mad at Kanaya, he had volunteered to do this. Kanaya was the one asshole that hadn't been an asshole to him.
Grouchily, he got to his feet and made a point of dusting himself off. Time to address little miss Fuck You And Your Leadership. Did that make Dave her little mister Fuck You And Your Leadership? The two did seem to know each other. Wait this wasn't a fucking conspiracy was it? Okay wow, now was not the time to get paranoid. He was getting distracted. He still needed to say something to... Feferi? because this shit would NOT fly.
"Now is NOT the fucking time for this shit. I get you're trying to be cute about 'being prepared for anything' but some of us are trying to coordinate a shitload of fuckfaces into a team and no one here is taking it seriously but me. This isn't some fucking free-for-all so chain your ass down and work on stance, like I fucking told you to do in the first place." Karkat hesitated for a moment before adding awkwardly, "But not bad. Remember that monsters will probably have different fields of vision than you're used to." He WAS supposed to be teaching her, after all. Sneak attacks could be an important skill to develop.
With that, Karkat turned to talk away.
Feferi will remember this.
Fef rolled her eyes when he turned his back toward her, fingercombing her hair back and beginning to twist it into a single thick braid. Feferi never TRIED to be cute. Feferi was the fucking cutest. If there was am empire of cute, she would be empress. She watched his back, considering the merits of nailing him a good one, but decided against it as she finished off her braid and tucked the end of it into her mouth to free up both hands for searching in her bag for a spare hair tie.
While she finished with her hair, Fef fixated on her resentment for Karkat's interference. Just from his throw and how easily she had taken him down, she knew she was a better grappler than he was. Probably she was better at fighting all around than him.
He'd told her she wasn't cute, called her a fuckface. Who died and made him leader? Feferi allowed herself a few seconds to glare daggers at his back, then inhaled and exhaled deeply before rolling her shoulders back and plastering a smile back on her face as she looked around for something to vent her bad mood on.
The Boy and The Bad Idea
Then it turned into a real spectacle. Jake watched with excitement in his eyes, seeing the two scuffle and grapple away. They both definitely had moves, even with Feferi getting the drop on him with a rather ridiculous method.
And once the two were done, why he just had to get himself a piece of that action. While Karkat needed to go direct some people, Feferi was available. And he couldn't resist.
He approached with a perk in his step, grinning to her before giving a small bow. "Ms. Feferi! I was wondering if you might be...what's the phrase? DTF? Down to fight? That was mighty impressive and I gotta see more of your moves!"
The Babe with The Power
Her eyes narrowed very slightly, but being able to get a few blows in....
"For sharks we can... Do you mind if I ask your skill level?" Feferi inquired politely as she shrugged off her backpack again and tossed it carelessly to one side. She rose to the balls of her feet and rolled her head around to loosen up the lingering tension from her surge of unhappiness with Karkat's indelicate leadershipping.
Her hair was pulled back into a dingle braid and she was ready to deliver a smackdown... provided jake was a worthy opponent. Catching a guppy held no satisfaction. She wanted to take down a shark.
What Power?
"I'm a rather nice boxer! Go to a local gym, won a few tourneys there. Plus I've had more than a few pub fights in my time. Not to mention some firearm experience."
He did a bit of shadowboxing for emphasis, flashing her a wink as well. "I can take and give as good as anybody here I wager, so no holding back on me!"
The Power to Destroy You
"If you're shore..." she said, her grin widening as she blurred forward in an attempt at a scissor throw. He had at least half a foot of height on her, but that just meant he'd be easier to take down if she could get this first part right.
Fef grabbed his right shoulder with her left hand, jumping up and twisting like she was mounting a horse and using her grip on his shoulder to keep him from yanking away. She felt a spark of triumph as her left leg just barely cleared his spiky hair and she released her grip on his shoulder, twisting her upper half to face the ground.
Her right thigh hit his face and she brought her legs together, using the momentum of her spin to knock him off balance. Fef knew she had him now, grinning widely as she curled and twisted, shifting her center of balance as she used her core to take him down.
Her thighs were locked around his head as she twisted her upper half to the right. His body followed his head as she toppled him like a tree and rode him down. Her left hand met the ground and she relaxed her legs, ending her twist with a roll and landing on her feet while his back hit the ground under her.
Fef smirked as she tossed her head arrogantly, good humor restored. "Wow, you reely can take as good as anyone," Fef said smugly.
WHAT IS LOVE? BABY DON'T HURT ME. Okay you hurt me.
Feferi was a blur as she did...whatever the hell this all was. It happened in flashes to him, and for a moment his world was just pink spandex. An altogether not that bad of a world to find oneself in he thought as he then realized it was Feferi's pink spandex. And thighs.
Lord have mercy on him.
He had done his best to muster w counterattack, fists flying after her while he was still upright. He felt he might have hit a shoulder or perhaps even an arm but he couldn't say for certain. But he knew one thing for sure.
He was having the time of his life.
The motion came to an end with him on his back and her thighs pressed to his head. Then she was up without much effort and he had to take a moment to both just fully realize what happened and to calm the blush on his face. He accomplished the first at least.
Despite the stinging in his back, he was up and practically gawking at her, a manic smile on his lips. "Holy damnable lumoxxes with a side of roast beef! That was...amazing! You're...you're fintastic! Just...whoa...so...round two?"
380
She leaned forward to balance on the balls of her feet gliding left and right slowly as she kept an eye on him. "And you're shore you want more?" she asked cautiously, not wanting to go after him again with a more direct move without express consent.
At least, she consoled herself, his girlfriend can heal him up. And he was resilient, if not particularly wise. Her trainers had taught her to fight mean, with the expectation that if she needed to defend herself it would be against a larger group and that she would want to take each opponent out quickly.
The scissor move she had just used on him was more something she'd been messing around with than a part of her training and it had seemed like a good way to vent her frustrations on someone but now....
She circled around him, her face calm as she watched his chest for telegraphs of what he was planning.
The Boy And The Worse Idea
When she asked that, it sounded like the most stupid question he'd ever heard in his life! He nodded enthusiastically, watching as she began to circle around him. If he was thinking more clearly instead of churning out adrenaline, he'd almost compare her to a shark.
"You kidding? That was the coolest thing I've ever seen in a rumble! And you took me out with just one move! I gotta get better, and no way to do it but try again. And besides I-"
Then he lunged for her, throwing a punch to the face to distract the blow heading for her stomach, knowing he couldn't hold back on this either. Besides, with the facefull of thigh and backful of ground she just gave him, he was pretty sure Feferi was 100% tougher than she looked.
Haha Got Your Nose!!
Feferi slid left and forward, shoving his right shoulder to her right to spin him away from her and use the momentum of his lunge against him.
She briefly considered backing off and trying another kick move, but his head was just too high and it would rob her of balance to try and do a roundhouse at such an awkward angle.
Instead she brought her elbow up with a sharklike grin on her face, meaning to slam his shoulder as he turned off balance but she had misjudged his height and his stoop.
Too late to change her position, she watched with widening eyes as he staggered, his face on a collision course with her elbow.
He's Having Such A Great Time And Oh GOD
He watched her moves playing out, and...and...Oh. That's an elbow coming right for his face. And he couldn't get his body to react fast enough. Oh.
Oh no.
He smacked right into the blow nose first, and there was what he could only truly describe as a sickening crack and an almost overwhelming amount of pain. He was down to the ground, clutching his face and doing the most manly thing you had ever seen.
Screaming.
"SWEET LORD ON HEAVEN AND CURSED SATAN IN HELL MY FACE." His eyes were shut tight and his body was curled up as he just tried to somehow deal with the pain, shivering and breathing erratically.
Jane To The Rescue
Her eyes went wide before suddenly narrowing, her stomach clenching. Feferi's thighs were wound around his neck quicker than you could say "How's your father?", and for a man who was getting his ass handed to him, Jake English seemed to be right good and pleased. She clicked her tongue and tried to turn away as "round two" began, but it was obvious that they were both quite skilled, Feferi in particular. Jane would watch, but she didn't have to happy about it. She could already identify a few areas in which Jake could improve, largely in form, but otherwise he was quite good. And christ, the man could take a punch.
Speaking of, she saw his error as soon as he moved towards her, noting that Feferi did exactly as she would have done; used his momentum against him. What she wasn't banking on was her misjudged aim. Jane cried out his name in warning, but it was too late, Feferi's elbow slamming smack into Jake's face.
Wisps of static swirled around Jane in her panic as she ran forward, weaving in between people until she got to where Jake lay, fetal and shivering. It was so rare that she saw him in this state, so exuberant and happy-go-lucky was he. Usually, even hurt, he stayed relatively stalwart, if his earlier broken arm and subsequent thumbs up was any indication. But this was an entirely new ballgame, and his pain almost brought Jane to tears. Her heart pounded as she came to kneel at his side, brushing the hair from his face. Any jealousy revolving around Dirk and Feferi melted away for this moment. All she cared about was healing him.
Her eyes glowed bright, and she rose her hand, life already dancing between her fingertips. "I'm here, Jake..." she whispered soothingly, stroking his head as he shook. She wanted to calm him down a bit before shocking his system with life.
Bonebreaker, love taker
Guilt roiled, fighting with the temptation to blame it on the fool currently bleeding on the ground.
His nose had broken so easily under her elbow. If she'd been a little more off she could have killed him by accident. A bit of bone in his brain and he would have been a goner.
"I'm sorry," she said numbly, fists clenching and unclenching at her sides. "Can you help him?"
PAIN PAIN HURT
He took slow breaths to try to crack a smile for her, coming more to just one side of his mouth than anything as he tried to turn around his reaction.
"O-Oh! Jane...W-What are you doing...h-here? I'm fine...j-just a bit of spa- AGH!" He had turned his head a bit wrong, hands clenching his nose again and eyes shutting tight.
But Jane was here. And deep down, he knew he'd be okay.
ITS ABOUT TO GO DOWN
"Shhh..." Jane murmured, stroking the side of Jake's face softly and trying to to ignore the fact that blood had begun to coat her fingertips. "I'm going to heal you now, alright?" She closed her eyes, and let life flow from her body to his own, giving a soft sigh as she felt energy leaving her. They both glowed with a soft green, and Jane knew that he was out of pain for the moment at least. Her fingertips then found his nose, and she set it straight before channeling the wispy green current into the break, keeping her breathing even. It was a moment before her work was done, and then she pulled back, taking a slow, shuddering breath. "There." she whispered, smoothing the hair upon his forehead. "You're fine... It's okay..." Her eyes were warm. "... How do you feel, love? Give your nose a touch; see how it feels."
Jane waited until she was sure Jake was alright before standing and turning to face the other woman, her usually calm blue eyes turning icy and cold. Her gaze was a weapon in and of itself; daggers aiming straight for Feferi. "What is your fucking /PROBLEM/?!" She yelled, her fuse finally reaching its end. Jane had tried to be patient. Had tried to be understanding. But this was the final straw. Erratic green static cackled around her, making her hair stand on end.
Floating to the Top
Fef set her jaw, pink eyes glaring right back at Jane. "I misjudged my elbow block whale sparring with YOUR overenthusiastic boyfrond," she snapped, her teeth grinding together as she inhaled, inflating like an angry pufferfish.
Re: Floating to the Top
Jane was already beginning to feel bad. Perhaps she had been a bit harsh. But no one had sugarcoated her wake-up call. Feferi needed to join the real world just as Jane had done.
Froth and foam signifying nofin
"Hal invited me. I'm shore you'd been there, a few jiggles and the door popped right open. I didn't even know I had broken in until no one was there after all," Feferi said in a flat voice. "I moved them somewhere they don't have a landlord who would sell access to their space to anyone with a hundred bucks. They have a locking front door and proper beds to sleep in."
Feferi took a step forward, her nose almost touching Jane's. Her pink eyes were free to glare into Jane's without the usual fancy glasses. "You know nofin. NOTHING about me or where I come from," she growled. "I am sorry that I misjudged my hit and broke your nose Jake and I'm sorry you fell out of a tree earlier and broke your shoulder," she said, though her eyes were still locked with Jane's. "I'm glad Jane here is God's actual gift to the universe with all the friends and all the wisdom and all the powers to fix things us selfish rich girls ruin."
Fef stepped back, rolling her head on her neck without breaking eye contact. "But what do I know, huh? Just a spoiled rich girl who never does anyfin to help anyone," she snapped, biting off her words. She turned on her heel and strode away toward the rest of the group, snatching up her bag as she went, sending her and Jake's glasses flying. Feferi paused and huffed as she spoiled her exit to turn back and hand Jake his glasses. She gave Jane a last glare and stalked away, deciding it wasn't worth losing her dignified departure a second time to grab her own fake glasses.
On Painkillers And Unsure Of What's Happening
He had barely muttered the words before Jane let out a very angry sentence to Feferi...and Feferi called him Jane's boyfriend? What. Not an unpleasant thing but...
He began to sat up as the two came to an argument, grimacing as he looked between the two. "Ja...Fe...Hey...You two hey...I..."
Though he only ever dealt with hope, the anger between the two was palpable, and it honestly just made him uncomfortable. The man didn't deal with even positive feelings well, and this all just felt...wrong. When Feferi spoke to him, even as she glared Jane down, he tried to respond back. "Hey it's..okay. You didn't mean to. I'll be okay. I'm-"
But then she was backing off, snapping at Jane once more before coming back for his glasses. "...Thank you, Feferi." He managed to get that off at least before she walked away, turning to Jane with an absolutely exhausted look on his face.
"...I think I'm ready to leave. And we should talk."
Way To Go, Janey
