"You'll keep me safe?" He muttered to her, but her attention was already on Sollux. Years of friendship with Jane had taught him not to underestimate someone based on their size, but Feferi didn't seem like a fighter to him. (And he didn't need her protection.)

He spaced out for a moment and almost didn't notice Sollux asking them a question.

"Sorry, dude, I'm only here because Feferi didn't give me a choice." He lied, shrugging his shoulders. He filed away the information Sollux provided, about having two "dream selves" and needing to find his "dark side", but didn't offer up any of his own knowledge.
