Sollux cradled the Professor to his chest, achingly careful with the small creature as he followed Tavros.

They settled there, in the grass together, for once Sollux having to crane his neck to see Tavros and not the other way around. It was peaceful, and dragged on pleasantly until they were both starving and the sky had started to glow golden and they parted ways.
